Engagement Photo Shoot

Challenge:

Client wanted a photo shoot done of them for their engagement. They wanted two parts, one of them in nice clothes, the other in their skydiving gear. They also wanted a couple different editing styles, bright and springy, and warm and romantic. they requested their photoshoot to be done at their favorite skydiving location, Skydive Chicago. They wanted a range of locations, notably by the trees and on the runway.

Creative Solution:

I mapped out the grounds of Skydive Chicago and found a variety of interesting locations to use. I wanted them to be relaxed so I had them making silly faces and laughing to really make the shots feel natural. In post, I edited some photos with a more vibrant, almost pastel, feel to get the springy look, and other photos I upped the saturation and warm tone and added a vignette to achieve the warm, romantic look.

Proposal

The Vision:

To Capture him proposing to his girlfriend. He wanted an intimate and warm mood that brought out the candle light asthetic.

Creative Approach:

I brightened up the images just enough to be vivid and saturated, while keeping a deep contrast to enhance the candle light mood. I wanted a mixture of close up shots and wider shots that show their decor.
